I am widowed at 50 in maryland having trouble with the whole dating scene. I am to awkward.?

How do I get past the first part of awkwardness and not be to forward? I dont want to be to forward but I dont want to let all of the ladies get away!

    sorry for that rude answre. Give your self time. the dating scene is a little faster. I think if you go on a few dates, very simple ones, like coffee or something then you will get used to being out there again. It's scary and awkward but once you get the hang of it you will adjust!

    I think the last answer is right on. Give yourself time to slowly get back into social interaction. Ask the cute lady in the next cubicle out for lunch or that bank teller you really like out for coffee. Make a small simple date with a short timespan so if it's not happening, either of you can bow out gracefully. And if you click you can carry it over to dinner!!     Just be yourself,relax,and if you feel at ease with someone ask them to dinner or to see a movie.You will never know, unless you ask.Im sure it will become easier.Good Luck!
