I wonder if Yahoo is doing this to smoke out terrorists for the government?

I know Homeland Security has asked the big ISPs to give them information, and Yahoo resisted at first. Is this how it got out of trouble?

I like how you think. I'd personally be surprised if there aren't some resources available that make all electronic correspondence taggable and traceable...

I'd like to see this question reposted in the computers and computing tech areas so some code boffin can assess the source code or something :)

Who knows, maybe. I feel if any American suspects a Terrorist Cell they should report it to the FBI. Then they have done their part as a Patriot. The FBI can investigate. Little story. My Brother bought this 65 foot boat in Fort Pierce, Florida and we moved it to Galveston Bay, Texas. It is an old Canadian Navy Boat use for Torpedo Drills that has been converted to a live aboard. Still has the Maple leafs on the Stack. We cut through Lake Okeechobee to the Gulf and Anchored just inside the Intercostal Waterway of the Gulf for night. About 45 minutes this Police Boat shows up. They WERE checking us out and said someone had seen the Boat and Reported it and they just wanted to be sure. They talked with us and verified we were American. Said they were sorry to bother us. We said it OK, shows the enemy we Americans are Patriots and not to be taken lightly. I felt good that someone was being aware, even though we were OK. Then when we get to our dock in Texas, here come the Police again. LOL. Now everyone knows the Boat and life is back to normal.

I feel that I have said nothing nor done anything that I would not say or do to their faces. I don't like the direction this country is taking under Bush and I say so. If homeland security don't like it send me off to Cuba, I will still be saying what I wish there.
