Health care in MA.?

Hear about the new law being debated wherein all MA residents must purchase health insurance and all companies of 11 ormore employees must offer it? http://www.thebostonchannel.com/health/8484803/det... this may lead to national reforms. Any reactions by MA residents?

I don't have medical insurance. Personally, I don't like western medicine, and fate has been kind to me that I haven't needed medical treatment very often. When I require it, I pay for it out-of-pocket. And because I take care of myself, and do preventative holistic care, and avoid accidents -- my medical expenses (paying for what I need) are still significantly less than it would have cost me to pay medical insurance all my life.

If I still lived in Massachussettes, I'd move out because of this law. I don't like the idea of the government forcing me to pay for something that I don't want or need.

Now, I do like the idea of business offering medical insurance to their employees, and I approve of the idea of the state offering a group plan to anyone who wants it to keep the costs down. Just like businesses can get/offer medical insurance at lower costs than what individuals would pay, because of the group discount.

But punishing someone because they don't like doctors? No.
