Why do so many of 2-dayz rappers sample so much? Where is the originality in music?

it really depends on what type of hiphop youre listening to. if you only hear whats spoonfed to you by MTV, BET and the radio then youre gonna what consumers love to hear. the same ol sxxt that they are used to. if you want to hear some new sounds put your ear to the street.

xl middleton, spider loc, jelly roll, mitchy slick, jayo felony, tha dogg pound, big wy, techniq, glasses malone, damani, lil uno...

you prolly never heard of all of these people except like.. three huh.

Hip hop has always sampled, look at stuff by chuck-d, africa bambata, De La Sol, and all the others. It's just now mostly what you hear is "yeah" and "uh" and thats about it over samples. But to tell you the truth I think this is ten times better than what passes as punk these days. When I hear new crap on the radio I want to throw myself in front of a bus.

Yeah guy, I agree. I turn on the radio to the realm's station and all I listen are awful rappers. the nearest i'm attending to actual music is Britney Spears. isn't that unhappy?
