Can I keep certain songs from playing in the Party Shuffle mode on iTunes?

I admit it. I bought a bunch of Christmas music from iTunes music store last December. And now that those songs are in my computer's music library, they keep popping up when I use the Party Shuffle function.

Is there a way to set a rule to keep certain songs out of that rotation? I don't want to be listening to "Joy to the World" in April!

I have all of these songs labeled as "holiday" genre - and would love to just be able to tell my computer not to include "holiday" songs when it's selecting what to play next.

Does anyone know how to do this? I'm running OSX Tiger with the latest version of iTunes.

If you "uncheck" the songs you don't want to listen to in the main library, they shouldn't play or show up in a downloaded mix on your IPOD.

Can the songs be taken care of into separate playlists? in the journey that they can you may create a playlist without the Christmas albums. i do not have iTunes yet I doubt it has the flexibility to application it to brush aside certain songs on shuffle playback. must be incorrect however it truly is a theory.
