Persuasion and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, they are simply the best classics that have such relevance and resonance even today. Her characters are realistic identifiable and no one is perfect or without a glimmer of humanity. I also love Going Postal by Terry Pratchett I think it's his most cynical and insightful book since Small gods and wonderfully parallels all aspects of our world today.

"Lord of The Fly" author William Golding
This is the first English book I read. I read this book and then saw the movie. I realize how much different there is when author describe the Scene and reader imagine the Scene in his mind.
This book inspired me to read more and in 7 year I read about 50 books.

Tamora Pierce's books about Tortall especially Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen. i like her books because they're very imaginative and she actually does research.
Example:
one of the kings in the story is actually king in Arabic and he's supposed to be Arabian like.
The god Minthros in the story is the sun and war god. Minthrosism was an ancient occult that worshiped the sun (something like that)

Where's Waldo, I,m not much of a thinker.
Seriously I like a lot of books but can't seem to award any of them the honor of being my favourite. Maybe I haven't read the right one yet. Any suggestions?
