If it's on a flat surface, lay on your front (no really - trust me on this), and put your chin on the ground. You will be able to see other objects a lot easier.
Otherwise, if it's not burried, a cheap kids play toy metal detector will work, then you can use it to walk round with on the beach and streets and find money! ;)

If you did, you might want to have a L-O-O-O-NG talk with your husband/fiancee.
Magnets will only detect ferrous metals, that is , iron, steel or nickle. Most diamond ring settings are either gold or platinum. If the ring has a steel sizer on the band, you might have a chance, but it would have to be a powerful magnet.

No. It is not made of an iron compound , so is not subject to magnetic fields.
However, you can get a neighbor who has a metal detector to find the ring. Failing that, many rental centers rent metal dectors.. Use your phone as a labor-saving device....call around for advice/help/rentals.
Good luck.

Very doubtful. The metal of the ring itself is not ferrous and will not be picked up by a magnet. Use a metal detector instead as it will register any type of metal. Good luck finding your ring!

I hope not. It would mean that your ring is not made of gold. And if it's not made of gold, then the diamond isn't real, either. Use a metal detector instead. However, my sister lost her ring when she dropped it on the bedroom floor. She never found it...

No.. Diamond is not magnetic. If your diamond is embedded in a steel ring(doubt that) then you may use a magnet.

Not if it is gold, or platinum. Those metals are not attracted to a magnet. You would need a metal detector.

Nope, not unless the ring has iron in it. However, you could get a metal detector to find it.

Only if the band is steel. Other metals can be located using a metal detector.

uh No.... it would have to be a very very strong magnet! Not just an everyday magnet!
