I have a recipe (samosas)that calls for maida flour.. what is maida flour? Where can i get it?

'Maida' is 'All purpose flour'. You can go to any Indian grocery and get 'Maida' or go to regular grocery store to get 'All purpose flour'. You can make yummy samosas using Maida and do not forget tamarind chutney on the side.

It looks like maida flour is just a super-refined wheat flour. There are several retailers online but you might want to check your local Asian market if you have one.

Hi, I think maida is just wheat flour.
Maybe if your looking at an Indian recipe it might be the Indian name for "Flour", as they call the clarified butter "ghee"
