Which album was the first to get an explicit lyrics label???

HINT: IT WAS NOT BY A RAP ARTIST AND IT WAS NOT A RAP ALBUM.

Also, who started the whole explicit lyrics labeling?

Update:

Interesting, RDY2...I think Jackson and Madonna helped facilitate the attack on music artists but it wasn't their total influence that cause all the hooplah about explicit lyrics to come about. Michael had some pretty good stuff in the early days that I really wouldn't classify as explicit. Madonna was certainly controversial, tho, especially with the videos and concerts. Prince continues to shock (you don't hear even a smidgen of his racy stuff on the airwaves).

Frum - It's true. I just go off. BOOM like the 5'9 record >_<. 1. "Any violence or ruckus brought by any member of your family after hearing this CD cannot be held liable by The Wu-Tang Clan or any of its affiliates" 2. "You are about to listen to an album that contains an absolute MINIMUM of 90% Crackbaby material. You HAVE been warned." 3. "After this CD, You will apologise to NaS and yourself for doubting his skill and then refute any stupid statements you had made about NaS prior to listening to this CD" - I think that album saved his career. - It was average. But i still liked it >_<. 4. On a serious one...That album is dope in the context of an MC's first album. I gave Tech serious props for that. It's a shame he couldn't switch it up nearly 8 years later. - "The Political views/General anger expressed on this record may result in increased desire to insight revolution/lamp someone in the head with a cricket bat" 5. "This is arguably one of the worst "Tribute" albums ever put out. If you at all wish to preserve the memory of Biggie Smalls, Do not buy/download or borrow it"

Al and Tipper Gore are the bright minds behind labeling.

Source(s): the should label albums like fleetwood mac, their campaign song, as may cause long periods of napping.

Ice T's - Body Count. It was actually Tipper that got it going.
