Is there a hotel/motel that's cheap AND nice in Las Vegas?

The second time I went to Vegas, I stayed at a crappy motel right next to the airport-Mccrane Airport I think it's called. Anyways, I stayed at Knight's Inn, and it was the most disgusting place ever. Anyone know a cheap and a nice place to stay in Vegas? Thanks!

I've stayed at the Palace Station and loved it. It was less expensive due to being off the strip but we were still close enough! Great service. Clean, spacious rooms. Fantastic dining at reasonable prices.

The only problem we had came about when we first checked in. The A/C wasn't working in the room we booked. We called the front desk and hotel staff were there to fix it right away. Twenty minutes later it was nice and cool in the room and we were very happy!

I've also stayed at Harrah's on the strip. Although I loved their outdoor bar, I would still pick Palace Station to book a room at if I went back.

  • You have to shop around for deals and it depends on what you consider "cheap." The Riviera is still a nice, albeit kitchy, Hotel/Casino. There are a couple up in that direction on the old strip that are pretty affordable (under $150/night double occ). I was in Vegas 3 years ago so unless Circus Circus has been cleaned up since then I would advise against it. Down the other end, Luxor is nice. It's theme is kind of Ceasar's lite (when in Rome, do as the Egyptians do?). You can sometimes find some very good deals at the Hilton or the Flamingo. Personally, I would stay at the Flamingo if the price was right because of the location and if that wouldn't work then I would go to the Riviera again.

classic rooms interior the El Cortez will from time to time choose for under $20/nighttime prevalent on return and forth organization web content like Expedia or Travelocity below a 2-for-a million nighttime deal. while you're prepared to bypass as much as $30, you will discover weekday rooms on the D or the 4 Queens downtown, or Imperial Palace on the strip. beware of Station Casinos which will quote low expenditures below $20 yet then upload on a $10-$15 hotel value in line with nighttime. The Gold Spike downtown does this besides.

I would stay at the Boardwalk Hotel. It is next to Monte Carlo. I stayed there once and the rates were under $40 per night. The place is clean and I had no problems with it. It is on the main part of the strip and getting to the other hotels and casinos is not a problem.

This may sound strange, but try Circus Circus. It used to be really rundown, but they have added a new tower and the rooms are much nicer - and you can get excellent rates there most of the time! The Excalibur also has some rates that are under $50, but only on certain days. Email me if you want more names!
