2001 Chevrolet Tracker- Problems Starting.?
The Tracker runs fine but when you park the car and turn it off it won't restart right away. It has to sit for about 20 minutes and then it finally starts. I think it may be a sensor. We replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump but that hasn't corrected the problem. Any clues?

If you start the car then turn it right off do you have problems starting it again?
Does this happen everytime or sometimes? Does it happen more often in the summer months than in the winter months?
If so, I had a similar problem with my old 1984 Toyota Camry. It ended up being the starter motor was getting too hot and would only start once it had cooled off. Changed out the starter motor with an OEM one and it fixed my problem.

there's a few tests you can do. But for the most part it sounds like the area where the wipers come into the body somewhere under the wiper grill is leaking into the body. what your going to have to do is take a hose to the vehicle windshield area while someone has a flashlight under the dash looking. most of the time rain water runs down between the outer and inner fender well. It might have a seal leak there. another old trick we used to do years ago to make a car fairly air tight is light up a b*utt load of smoke bombs in a car and find the leaks.

suspect a ign control module [Igniter] reccommend to dealer as is less then 5 yrs. old if under 60k miles it may fall under federal emmissions warrenty, and cost you nothing. if slightly over time/ milage they still may reimburse your costs.
