Having heater fan problems?

i ahve an 98 buick regal. Wwe have replaced the fan motor,2 times replaced the reastat. replaced the grounding block. Some times the fan works most of the time it doesn,t. Now it has knocked out the cruise control and the DRL sensor.

We have taken it to three different mmechanics and they are stumped. One guy is saying it is the Ignition switch. I am lost. can someone give me an answer? Ask around I am desperate.

I would start by looking at the connections at the blower motor resistor AND rheostat...(you will see burnt or melted plastic)This is a High amp circuit and is prone to over heating...this creates poor connections and a intermittent condition. this is Not a uncommon problem and Most GM dealers will Stock Pigtails as a repair kit. I HIGHLY doubt that you DRL and Cruse are part of this problem as they are on completely different circuits. If you wear told this this might be why your mech. didn't find a problem.
