what is the best Linux OS?

Hi, can you tell me what is the best linux OS (like distributer, ie. Red Hat, Suse , Mandriva and sedra) and perhaps what is the best version of the best Linux OS

    Debian is the best. but only if you are an intermediate or a power user. if you are a beginner then you should go in for any 1 amongst ubuntu,manderva, Fedora and Novell/Suse distributions of GNU+linux.

    Go with UrAnswer and add: what kind of computer do you have?

    Also, some linux OS are for rescue, server, thin client.

    Whitebox is good if your new, also, its a direct port from red hat, so it links easily to a better and more well known linux version if you decide to keep it
