    I like Mt. Lowe, Strawberry peak, Jack straw trail. A good website is http://www.localhikes.com/MSA/MSA_4472.asp

    So far, the hardest one I hiked was Mt Baldy or Mt. San Antonio of San Gabriel Mountains. I just started hiking and there might be other difficult ones out there.
