Do the Yankees have enough pitching?

I'm quite confident that we can score 1000 runs - I wouldn't trade our lineup for anyone in the game. It is the same old story - do we have enough pitching. The 96,98,99 and 00 teams were built on sold pitching. I'll vote anyone who can convince me that our staff will hold up as Best Answer.

A lot of pitching, No. Enough pitching, yes. The Yankees are a perennial playoff team and I don't see that changing. Their offensive is so explosive that they can win with a sub-par pitching staff.

They have 2 Aces (Johnson and Mussina) The next 3 (Wang, Chacon and the combo of Wright and the injured Pavano) aren't the best bottom 3 but relatively speaking if the Yankee offense can average 6 runs per game, then this team will get thru the regular season. It won't win the playoffs with this staff--You face the best pitching in the playoffs and the Aces of Anaheim/Chicago/Boston are much better and can stabilize the Yankee Offense unlike Tampa/KC/ and even Baltimore

The problem with the Yankees (and i was a fan when I was a kid) is that they are all payroll, but lack heart and hunger. Besides, Randy Johnson and Mike Mussina are washed up. The Yanks will score many runs, like you say, but with Giambi, Damon,Jeter and A-Rod in their lineup, what else would you expect? But the Sox will win the East..

Now I am off to Petco Park to watch the Padres light up Pedro Martinez!

I'm a Red Sox fan, but I come in peace.

The front end of this rotation is too old. Johnson is very old and it's a long season. Moose is getting to be more inconsistent too. The real promise in the Yanks staff is in Wang and that guy Aaron Small. But Small will not go 10-0 again, guaranteed.

No the Yankees pitching staff is not that great since Clemens and Pettitte are at the Astros. I mean if you look at those to there not too great either I think it's time for the rooks to step up.. but as of right now its not going to well

Yea, Once Adam Small comes back and along with Randy JOhnson who still has the his zip on the ball and mike mussina who is a good pitcher, Chacon is a decent pitcher, jaret Wright is also a very good pitcher and with one of the best closers of all time in Mariano Rivera i think there pitching will hold up.

No way the Yankees time is finally going down the drain. I cant wait to see the Sox back on top.

no way...their pitching is down this year veterans (old men) mussina and johnson will 99.9% likely slow down.....small is out with his previous spectular season....pavano is on the DL where he went last year...and wang and wright are unproven....look up good pitching in the dictionary you'll see a picture of red sox, white sox, and st. louis
