Internet and privacy debate?

My argument is that we don't have enough privacy on the web without installing this and that crap. What points can I bring up in my argument? All i have is:

1)Should the right of privacy be sacrificed to thrawt criminals.

Update:

I actually need additionals points to write on besides the one that I gave... like ideas of your own.

When it comes to Internet privacy is nothing. No matter how u tried to secure your data. Using this and that stuff. Believe me, there's always a loop hole somewhere.

You are actually not sacrificing your right to privacy when you thwart the criminals. Securing your computer with antivirus, firewall, etc takes care of both, pretty much at the same time.

I believe that privacy is very important, and it should not be sacrificed.
