What does "Balance Due" mean?

I checked-in at a conference and they gave me an envelope with a sticker attached on it. On the sticker, a text "Balance Due" is printed on it. what doest that mean?

    It means that you or your company didn't pay your registration fee in full. You still owe them money.

    It means that you owe money. The phrase is generally followed by an amount you need to pay.
