What competitions exist for high school German students?
Other German teachers have mentioned competitions they use to motivate and excite their students - I am wondering how to find out about opportunities and contests. I teach levels 2, 3 and 4 at a high school in Virginia.

Contact your local chapter of the AATG--the American Association of Teachers of German, and they should know what contests are in your area. I took German in Texas and participated in State German Contest, Sprachfest, that sort of thing. Try www.aatg.org
