Cutom Pillows?

Do you think there is a market for custom pillows? If so what would be a reasonable fee to charge.?

Everyone loves pillows! Try doing a search on ebay to find someone marketing the same & 'watch' the items for a while. It'll give you an idea what folks are paying for similar items & if it would be worth your while. I've been contemplating creating & marketing tote bags after purchasing one from ebay - 'April's Bags'. She makes & sells hundreds weekly. Ebay is where I would start out & then small boutique type stores would be next. You could also post your question on Gardenweb.com on the decorating or craft forum - you might get a lot of responses. Good luck to you! Graci

There is a demand for custom pillows. Depending on what you define as "custom". If you are planning to make pillows yourself, what materials are you using? Would you make them in advance and then try to sell them, or would you only manufacture what people wanted?

Pricing--can run from $50 to $300 each, depending on the types of fabrics (silk, cotton, jaquard) and whether or not there are accents (beading, fringe, embroidery). Pricing will also be heavily dependent on quality (hand or machine sewn, down filling or poly).

Here are some custom pillows that are made from photos:
