Problems with RAM memory?

I have two DDR RAM

1º 256Mb speed: 333

2º 256Mb speed: 233

my question is: Can I put both of them on my PC, or I can't because they have different speed? (the both have the same brand)

And what about put two of different size??

Please help me!!!

Just try and see if it works. You will probably have 512mb of RAM running at 233Mhz. If the speeds do not much then you were here several beeps when you start up your computer so you should know that something is wrong with your RAM. Different size doesn't matter but if you have a 512mb RAM module its better than having 2 256mb modules.

you can absolutely put it in, however, the faster speed will slow down to the other speed. And different amount of RAM only depends on if you have Dual-Channel memory motherboard. You can tell that if there's 4 slots and the slots either have 2 colors alternating or if they're in groups of 2 and separated from each other.

The RAM speed should be compatible with the speed(clock speed) of your motherboard. Usually multiple RAMS with same clock speeds with their total as 2^n number(2,4,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024 & so on) are advised for best performance & stability.

Yes you can, just be aware that your faster ram chip will clock itself down to match the slower chip.... Meaning that both chips will run at 233MHz

You can use both together, but they will both run at the lower one's speed.
