Name pick. What do you think?

I really like the name Cassius. Now, I'm Spanish, and the Spanish version of this name is Casio, which also sounds really good to me. The problem is... if I ever name a child of mine like that, will it too much sound like naming it after a pocket calculator?

Update:

I'm not Hispanic, but Spanish (from Spain, in Euroe). I am not looking for an ethnic name or to be weird. I just thought this latin (from the Roman Empire, not latin american) name was nice.

it doesn't really matter what you name your child. It isn't like the child is going to be loved any differet. Besides i like the name and it is your choice. it is going to take a bit for other people to get used to but if you like the name i think go for it.

    Good luck

I think is sounds fine and i've never heard of the pocket calculator, so therefore maybe lots of other people haven't either. Plus, by the time that they grow up, there will be all new technology so you won't have to worry bout it.

Yes, he would sound like some electronics.

What about Casiano Casildo Casimiro Cástor Cataldo Catrian o Catriel ?

I agree I think you should name the child Panasonic, Sharp, or TI to at least give the child the US version of a calculator

Name him what ever you want because it is up to you. So what if he sounds like a pocket calculator. It's really up to you to pick his name.

lol, i think you're right...and just think, with the mean kids these days, if you name your son cassius, they may start calling him cassie...not good. i think you could come up with another name.

i have equidorian neighbors, and their son is named capavon, i've never heard it until they moved in, but i like the name, it's nice and latiny lol.

    try a family name...

it think the decision is up to you and you partner, not to the public, just remember that your child, has to grow up with the name... so be picky and choosey, it doenst matter!! goodluck!!
