What happened to the Ethyl gasoline that I remember from the late 60's? Is it still around?

Ethyl was short for Ethyl alcohol which is the same as Ethanol that you hear in the news today.

Ethanol is currently being mixed with all gasolines. Typically at a 90%-10% ratio of gasoline to alcohol.

They are producing E85 (a mix of 15%-85% ratio of gasoline to alcohol)

Many newer cars can burn the E85 mix, they are called Flex Fuel vehicles. Ford has been producing them since 1995. GM more recently.
