Why do parents allow their young children to be on this site?

Thank you from a mom's viewpoint. I think it's lack of supervision. The computer may be in an area of the home that's is shut off from the adults. Also I don't think some parents know what type of questions are being asked.

I agree with you and I'm one of them who speaks the filth. But I would not allow my daughter to come on this site either. I guess parents are not aware of what their kids are doing. If they did and said or did nothing.....Then that's bad parenting.

I would think that parents that allow their young children on this site are not really supervising their children in the first place and are unaware of what their children view on the internet. It's a sad fact, and one we all should try to change.

Because mommy and daddy don't know and most parents let them to get them out of thier face. I see lots of parents who will give the children just about everything to keep them away from them, that is why some of the kids have no respect for adults or each other or for any one for that matter.

some parents don't, the children get on because they can. the internet is available to them. and some parents dont have time to deal with the high'tech stuff.

its easier for some parents to let their children sit at the computer or parked in in front of the TV than to have to take active participation in their lives.

I'm sure good parents would not allow it. Bad parents either don't know or don't care.

They are not paying enough attention to the kids and just letting them do what they want so they are out of their hair
