Any good information on installing baseboard tile?

Not a full wall tile like in a bathroom, but baseboard tile that runs along the bottom of a wall like a wooden baseboard. Do I install it over a plank of wood or just straight on the wallboard?

Hardi backer board. over sheetrock. . Hardi backer board is basically thin sheet cement. Very stiff. Needed to prevent the grout joints in your tile from cracking. Use cement screws to attach the stuff to your wall. (they won't rust or disintegrate). Once on, lay down a bed of morter (Depot has 26 some colors to choose from to enhance the experience). Press in the tile.(use spacers to keep it uniform). Let dry. Grout. Spray with sealant. Shower with friend who is most impressed with the job!

Are you talking about a threshold between the tile and carpet? If not, then you must be talking along a wall. If the tile is installed correctly, the baseboard should never be touching the concrete... it should be resting on the tile. Is there a gap between the wall and the tile?? I always do trim and baseboards last. But that is just me.

Thinset over waterproof (green drywall) bd if in a wet environment.

Measure wall to wall and determine if you want to start from the middle and have 2 end cuts or one cut at the end.

Middle looks best if you can match returning 90.

Grout when dry, clean up next day..
