white and black pride?

I believe everyone should have pride in their background, culture, and heritage and I don't believe it should be limited to only females, chicanos, blacks, etc..... The only way to learn is to communicate, as someone else mentioned in their answer, and by learning to communicate we can learn to understand why someone feels pride in their heritage. I am proud of my "white" heritage, English, Irish and German. If you mean, proud of BEING "white" that is a different story, therein lies the communication problem.

The lesser half (minorities, including women) need pride to deal with the world. It makes us feel better and want to strive to get more. Older white males run the country, and basically everything else. So we need female pride, black pride, chicano pride, spanish pride, asian pride, native american pride.... etc, to look over everything that old white males have done to us. Heck, you can say young pride and everything would be fine. Look outside the box at society for the last few hundred years and it will tell you why all of the above cultures need pride.

You are terrible for saying that no one should say they have pride.... sometimes its the only thing that people have besides hope.

Segregation still exists; I am legally referred to as minority when I'm not minor. That word depletes pride. So we have to say 'pride' so our children do not believe the opposite.

You do not understand the full extent of the damage racism caused. And you probably do not wish to know. I suspect you may be dismissive if I begin to explain.

White pride is used by extremists who kill people because of their skin color. It is the samething that people ask such as "Why do Muslims kill people etc", See, because people who killed people used in the name of Muslims. Here, these who killed people used the idea of White Pride, so it is seen as a racist statement.

Yes we should, but in the real world it just will not happen. Humans by nature are predjudice. It is the fear of the unknown and lack of communication.
