How do you report your landlord for not taking care of his property?

Especially if the landlord has seen the problem about 3 times and says he will fix it and never does?? Yes, I pay rent every month, on time. He's supposed to cut the grass and has not since I moved in 2 years ago. Leak in kitchen has not damaged my personal belongings, yet. It's frustrating and I'm not looking to move just yet. I do like it here

Some states allow you to make the repairs yourself and deduct the cost from the rent. Other states allow you to withhold rent after giving him written notice. Go to http://realestate.findlaw.com/tenant to read about his responsibility and then click on the Resources link to get the details for your state.

You can give him a thirty-day repair and deduct notice, stating that if he doesn't fix it, you'll have it done and deduct the cost from your rent. At least that's the law here in California; it may differ in your state. Contact a local tenants rights group.

Is the grass-cutting thing in your rental agreement? You could probably have the grass cut by someone with the same R&D.

10 on your side. Report it to the news and they should help you. Things like this are on the news all the time.

Report him to city hall, and put in a complaint against him.
