yes, you need to see your obgyn.. you could be pregnant, it could be nothing, or it could be something serious
not having a period can be from: not eating, being overweight, Poly Cystic Ovarion Syndrome, anxiety, or you could be pregnant, and many other reasons, so talk to your Doc.

Wizard, what's there to be "thankful" about bloating, cramps, nausea, headaches, worries about leaking and staining your clothes, and having to sometimes make alternative plans like not going into the water at the beach because you're afraid a shark might be able to smell the blood and attack you? Maybe if you were a woman, you would be better able to understand that this is nothing to be thankful for. I almost envy the women in the past. That was because they very seldom had periods due to constantly being pregnant or nursing. They also started having them later in life than girls do today. I can't wait until menopause comes. I'm hoping it will be here within a few years. I'm now in my late 40s and many women my age have already been through it.

Well it could be a couple of things:
Stress - If you are dealing with excess stress this could mess with your period schedule.
Weight Gain or Loss - The change in your weight can cause a hormonal change in your body which can change your ovulation patterns.
Birth Control - Certain birth control messes up your period.
If none of these things apply you could be pregnant. If you think that is the case you can get a pregnancy test. And if that comes back negative I would suggest you go to the Ob/GYN. to make sure nothing is wrong.
Remember to tell them if you had regular periods before this. (How long they last and things of that nature)
Hope I have been some help.

There can be several things going on. It depends on your age, your health, and if you are sexually active. Not all girls or women who don't have periods are pregnant. Some may be iron deficient or you can be so stressed out that you will miss them Sometimes a woman may have a medical condition that makes this happen. The best place to start is to check with your physician or OB/GYN and have a complete physical and let them know what has been happening in your life, your last period, and let them help determine what is going on.

It is very dangerous to miss more then 3 months of periods. If you arent pregnate then I suggest you see your OBGYN because it could be cancer. I know because I had missed 3 periods and had a bad pap, doctor said that I was clotting instead of having a flow....but I am still waiting for my next exam to see if everything is straightened out. He put me on provera to make me have a period every month for 6 months and I am on my last bottle of them...so I will be going to get the exam soon.

Have you had sex? If you;ve had sex get a pregnancy test immediately.
If not have you had any weight changes, whether up or down? Stress? Medication? If youre within the first three years of having your period its also common to miss soem months, but four in a row is pretty many. You should contact your doctor whetrher you've had sex or not and they can find out whats wrong. Good luck!

Everything above is pretty much on the dot... also, if you've just started your period (sometime w/in the past 2 yrs), then it just may be that it's irregular because for most people it usually IS for about 2 yrs. You should definitely get checked out, though... no point in risking anything.

Why are you asking advice for such a serious thing on here? You need to go to the DR. and let them evaluate this.
