When you visit a Web site, your browser automatically saves the Web site address, or URL, and saves it on your hard drive in a history file or folder. This file/folder allows you to view a list of previously visited Web pages, without having to type the address again.
The size of your history file/folder will grow as you browse until it meets the limit set by your browser. When this happens, your browser will delete some URLs, starting with the oldest. Even though your browser will do this automatically, clearing your history manually on occasion may help speed up your system. If your browser hangs or freezes frequently, it may help to clear your browser's history.
Note: Your system's security may require that you have administrator level privileges to perform the steps below. A user with administrative privileges can perform tasks, such as install and uninstall software and change a computer's configurations. If you are unable to perform the following actions, please consult with your system administrator or person(s) that setup/configured your computer.
To clear the browser's history:
*Internet Explorer:
1.Choose Internet Options... from the Tools menu.
2.Select the General tab.
3.Locate the History section, click the Clear History button, and choose OK when prompted.
4.Click the OK button at the bottom of the Internet Options window.
5.Close and re-start your browser.
*Netscape 4.7x
1.Click Edit menu > Preferences
2.Click Clear History button in the History frame

Type in the first letter of what you want to delete and highlight it and press delete that should work. If it doesn't you could try rebooting your computer or just getting rid of the yahoo toolbar (can get back later if you still want to).
