what is best?, Catholicism or Christianity?
I have read the first 15 anwsers, other than I am very bless for your attention and interest, I fell God glory and as I think in the glory of Jesus the Master, I can't stop my self from believing, in the Roman and apostolic caracter of catholicism. Yes, Christianity was lord Jesus masege to the world, though remember me, and do this in my name, ia a practice the Catholic church has maintain forever, because his (Jesus), request it, which I believed it is practice in mass everyday and inmany ours of each day, only within one church, and that is The Roman and apostolic Catholic church.
It hasn't been easy to deside mainly because some of the answers don't show as they are responded. one thing I say before, God the creator, and Jesus are one, (to my knowledge for some affairs), as well than two separate entities, The final Judgement will not be perform by Jesus, althoughhe will be present to interfeared in our behalf as he already did once. But the final Judgement will be the Father HIM(God) self, Final say Rejoicing in the triump of Jesus over Evil, is one thing(that is extrictly Jesus acomplishment) Remember Jesus final words it said: "Father, why are you forsaken me." and then the Lord God took him, an broad him back a life. Catholicism its base mostly in Jesus, solems services for his acomplishments, which following also God direct order, for man to believed in his Son. we prey to the Father, we Love the Father, we follow the fathers commamdements to the best of our capacities. though we bealieved God the Lord, is Jesus." will Jesus become our God?.

All believe in Christ.
Each Christian sect has minor views on attitudes.
I am Catholic, so I am biased to place Catholicism as the best. I was baptized and confirmed at the age of ten-years-old. I quickly went "South" and kinda spit on the Church and her ways. Well, I spent enough time without God <which is Catholics definition of HELL> ... and I decided to attend the RCIA <Rights of Christian Initiation> classes and I relearned how beautiful, logical, and necessary God and the Catholic Church are. Prior to taking the classes, "South Park" was my source of spiritual education. Well, "South Park" had some truths, but now I can really laugh when I watch the show 'cas I understand the parodies, and truth.
Did you know that Catholics provide medicine, education, and disaster relief to many of the Third World countries? <http://www.catholic.org/%3E
Did you know that Catholics own the most Telescopes outside of the USA Government? They teach about evolution, and bending of time?
Did you know that any man who is in good Catholic standing can become Pope?
Did you know that Catholic means Universal and that the Catholic Church IS NOT a building but all the people who are Catholics?
Thanks for asking, and listening. Peace be with you.

True Christianity, not Catholicism. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You find forgiveness straight with God not through a priest. You do defy the 10 commandments by praying to dead people (saints and Mary). I could go on for days.
All you agnostics and atheists answering this better enjoy your life now, because it is not going to be pretty in the afterlife. I will pray for you.

all catholics are christians, but all christians are not catholic. there are about a thousand different christian churches, catholic is just 1 of them.
religion is garbage, dump it. there's no god, or afterlife, so enjoy your life, and do whatever you want!
(( Everyone is either atheist or theist, agnostics are atheists who base their lack of belief on a lack of knowledge. The only honest ones are atheists of any kind, because nobody is truly stupid enough to believe in a god unless they're brainwashed. ))

I don't think either is better than the other. Catholicism is a denomonation of Christianity. I would suggest those who love order and strict discipline choose a denomonation that suits them, while some who enjoy more freedom should choose another that suits them. With everyone being different, we need denomonations to fit our needs. As long as they follow Christ and His teachings, they are all the best. =)

The word Catholic is greek for universal. Catholic church refers to the universal church united by the holy spirit. Christianity refers to faith. They are symbeotic and not something to choose between.

There is really no difference. Catholic is another word for Christian. Saint Ignasous just called it Catholic and it stuck with Christians everywhere.

i am a christian. i was a catholic once, and christianity just makes more sense.
we believe in salvation, most catholics believe salation must be earned
the Bible says "thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images" but catholics pray to mary
God says to be forgiven of sin, all we need to do is ask Him. catholics tell the priest, and he 'forgives' them
the list is endless. i cant really say which is 'better' bc of course im already on the side of christianity, and happy to be!
