Best way to Store/freeze homemade breads?
making homemade breads and gonna try making bagels. can't seem to get free insight to storing them.

they freeze just fine. That is the only effective way of storing breads. Of course, before popping them in the freezer, put them in a freezer bag to protect them against freezer damage. My wife has so much bread in the freezer that there is no room for anything else.

Buy a Vacuum Sealer for foods. It works for everything you need to freeze, or use platic freezer bags. Before you put the breads in the freezer put them in a paper grocery bag and add the date your freezing them, this way you know which ones to use first and the brown paper bags prevent freezer burn.

Bread can also be heavy if your liquid is too hot or too cold for the yeast to develop properly. The best temperature for liquids used to start yeast is very near body temperature. Do you remember seeing people test a babies bottle by dripping the liquid on the wrist? This method will work for liquids used with yeast, as well. Bread can also be heavy if you use too much flour or don't allow enough time for the bread to rise. Also, be sure to use bread flour, as it has more gluten in it, than all purpose flour does.

I wrap mine up in plastic wrap and the in a freezer bag and whe I take them out, i defrost and brush tps with water (lightly) and but in oven for about 10 minutes to crisp up, depending on the type of bread.
