Why do some women and others think that women who dress sexy and show their body are slutty?

I guess because in a way it's true that dressing provocative showing cleavage, too much leg is considered unlady like, it's not demure to some people. I guess we ladies are suppose to keep it covered up and leave a little mystery to the imagination. BULL I say if u got it flunt it, it's ok to keep a little mystery that too can be just as sexy.

But I will agree that some women can go too far with it.

For the most part, because they are jealous, but they also may be right. I don't think they're necessarily slutty. A person can wear a belly shirt and/or hip huggers tastefully. There are also many ways to dress a little sexy without baring everything. Of those who don't do it tastefully, I think *many* of them simply have a poor sense of style, others are attention-whores. Personally, the worst I feel is when someone who is not in excellent shape or 35+ wears something like this. Ill-fitting clothes drive me nuts! No one wants to see a saggy or pudgy belly sticking out over a pair of jeans.

You sound very mature for a 12 year old. At least you're not one of those slutty girls. Be proud. You're obviously very smart that you can see all of that even at your age. Though the reason girls think like that is because if you act slutty, it gets guy's attention. Some girls would rather that type of attention than no attention. How do I know? Because I'm one of those girls. I wouldn't call myself a ****. I'm 17. I don't have a reputation. But I know I do act slutty and easy with guys. I feel like if I act respectable, they don't want me. I'm so insecure and have really low self esteem. It makes me feel better about myself knowing that a guy wants me, even if it is for all the wrong reasons. If I don't act a bit slutty or easy, I don't get any attention from guys. I just like feeling wanted. I can't help it. I know it's wrong and I shouldn't have done half the things I've done, but at the time, it makes me feel better. Obviously afterwards I tend to feel used. This is like a cycle I can't get out of though and to be honest, I'm not even sure that I want to. The way I am would come accross as me thinking acting like that is sexy, but I don't think it's sexy, I know straight out that it's slutty, but without acting a bit slutty, I have nothing. I have barely any personality (well that comes accross anyway, 'cause I'm so insecure and hold back) which doesn't help that I'm not super good looking either. So it's hard to act respectable because I know I won't get any guys to want me then.. I know that there's a lot of girls who would be like this. You'd just never understand it unless you were one of us. It's a good thing you're not though. Of course there are also girls who are just straight out slutty for no reason aswell though. Not that I even have a reason either but at least I know why I do it. Consider yourself lucky you think like you do. People like you end up happy because they think these things through and don't let themselves be used.. People like me end up feeling even worse than they did before, yet they continue to do it in the hope that some time, it'll have the effect they want.

There is a difference between dressing sexy...which you can do tastefully without showing skin and dressing like a hooker.

It is all in the eye of the beholder.

There is a difference between showing the right amount of cleavage and showing every bit of breast but your nipples.

There is a difference between a peekaboo skirt that shows a teasing amount of thigh, and shorts that show the "crack of dawn" (your butt crack).

Let's draw a line between sexy, where there is something left to the imagination, and slutty, which is often personified by girls in hip-hop videos.

A sexy woman is sexy no matter what she is wearing. It is something natural that she exudes herself. The line between sexy and trashy has to do with why the woman is wearing what she's wearing and if it really looks good on her or she's just trying too hard.

I find it hilarious that the men that answered all said it's because women are jealous where as most of the women said something completely different. Shows once again how little men understand women. lol.

I also fin dit hilarious that people speak for all women that they are 'jealous'. Even hot skinny women who thinks that certain things are slutty are jealous? lol again.

If I see a young girl (late teens-mid-twenties) dressed like that, sometimes I do get a little jealous because I wish I could still dress like that & look good.

Because girls are JEALOUS.Its that simple.Whats even better is the huge women, no offense to larger women in general, but when the large women wear shirts like "Cutie", "Adorable", "Hottie". Maybe on their wedge/camel toed pants "Hot".

Mostly jealousy. Sometimes strict morals is what causes the issues. Dressing and whether they are slutty or not have no realtion to each other. TRUST ME :D

It's probably because of jealousy.

But i personally think a woman can be sexy in jeans and a t-shirt.
