Renting a house/villa in Italy?

Hi,

I'd like to rent a house for 15 or 20 days around September in Italy (Tuscany would be nice). I don't exactly know where to look to find that kind of lodging. Do you have any helpful resources? Thank you very much!

thanks for answering the question i just wrote on the lemon and oil thing. i actually live in florence, italy. im from the states but im studying here for almost 4 years now. if your looking for a place to stay around florence i can try to help you look for one since my boyfriend works in a real estate agency here. i cant think of a place this very instant, but ill write back to you again with some answers soon.

ok, if your looking for a spot to stay at in tuscany aside from hotels, what is most recommended here are what we call here, 'agriturismo'. they are practically villas or apartments out in the country side where you rent for long periods of time, like in your case 15 to 20 days.

there are two options, you can either rent the entire villa or apartment or you can rent rooms inside the villas where it would include dinning aditionally. in cost wise, it would depend all on the number of people you are coming with. for example for 5 people for about 3 weeks it should cost around 2,000 more or less, i cant garantee you but it should range aroudn that area.

how many of you will be going? and for how many days exactly? some of the best places in tuscany to find agriturismo, is in Greve in Chianti which is about 20 minutes away from florence or San Gimignano where its about another 20 minutes off from Siena and 40 minutes from florence.

If your really really interested, contact me through here and i can reffer you to two specific spots, actually villas that are for rent in these types of cases that are both close to florence.

    hope this helps!

Florence is a great city to invest your holyday; see more with hotelbye . Florence's museums, palaces, and churches house some of the best imaginative gifts in the world. The most used and crucial memorial in Florence are: the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Uffizi, the Bargello and the Accademia. Churches like: Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce are veritable artwork galleries. In Florence you may also start to see the great and different art series located in the Pitti Palace. The Palazzo Pitti (The Pitti Palace) is just a large 15th century palace situated on the calmer south bank of the Arno River. The palace was number of years the home of Florence's rulers till 1919, when it had been passed over to the Italian state, which changed the palace right into a museum complex. In spite of their metamorphosis, from noble home to a state-owned public making, the palace still maintains the air and atmosphere of a personal selection in a grand house.
