If humans evolved from monkeys, what did monkeys evolve from? And what did that creature evolve from?

simple: humans didn't evolve from monkeys!!! :D yeah, I believe in creation too-- and the God who made it.

The form of evolution that produced the greatest variation in creatures was Sexual Selection. This is where the female of the species prefers a particulare trait in a male such as biggest tail feathers in a peacock or largest size in the elephant seal. The percentage of babys produced with the tait is increased dramatically. With the elephant seal, the size of the males have increased so much now that the males will accidently crush the babys especially during fights.

Aside from that, when there is a dramatic change in the environment say the earth cools, or heats dramatically there will be an explosion of different species to cope. Dramatic change, will change the DNA of food crops or their productivity, and so on up the food chain species will evolve to cope. We know this happens, as it has been observed particularily on the Galapogus Islands where plants under stress are changing their seeds. Some finches have had to take up blood sucking of other birds to cope and now have a completely different appearance.

What Did Man Evolve From

The theory of evolution regarding Hominids says absolutely NOTHING about man evolving from monkeys. Like a few said before, we share a common ancestor.

Well creation, let's see... god snaps his fingers and *poof* light, waits a day *poof* water *poof* land *poof* sun & moon *poof* fills the air and the seas *poof* fills the land with animals and then humans. Just one very simple question...how is it that that all these dinosaurs were created and died on the same day instead of the millions of years that scientific evidence places in between dinosaurs walking the earth and humans walking the earth? Why is it that SOME things from the bible are taken so literally so as not to allow for scientific reason and PROOF?

To add to what spartanerik said, humans share 98.4% of their DNA with their closest living evolutionary relatives, the two species of chimpanzees.

the theory of evolution doesnt say we directly evolved from monkeys

if you read it, you'll realize it says that humans and monkeys may have had a COMMON ANCESTOR

doesnt mean they descended from each other; it just means that they were almost genetically similar

right now scientists are finding out that neanderthals and humans were two different species..

creation doesnt make sense. science always has the proof.
