I have a monochrome sound card does this mean I can only hear one speaker?

    No, with a monotone sound card, you'll hear from both speakers it's just the sound will be the same from each.

    If you have a stereo soundcard the sound will be slightly different from each. This gives music, for example, a better effect.

    monochrome is not the term you were looking for. maybe monotone, and yes that means you can only hear from one side. stereo is two speakers... is that what you are talking about

    There is nothing worng with your soundcard, go to doctor and ask him to through check your ears!

    What i figure out form your question is that you can only hear from one ear.
