If he likes you, he'll ask you out. If he seems to be a little on the shy side, you need to give him a little encouragement in the form of subtle hints. Also, make sure the circumstances are right. For example, if you guys are always encountering each other in a quiet environment with a lot of people around close by, he's probably not going to ask you out, whether he likes you or not; no one wants an audience when they crash and burn.

attempt to somehow work the subject of you and him possibly being more than friends into a conversation and see how he reacts. if he seems kind of confused as to where you got an idea like that or tries to change the subject he's probably not so into you. but he could give you the feed back you've been looking for.

Zoe, dont just say "so . . . um . . . so do you like me?" You couldnt get any corny-er. And you definitely dont want to ask around, you want your info straight from the horses mouth. but it's cool to ask him out. it will show your confidence and guys like that. and based on the time you two spend together, you'll more than likely be able to tell that he's diggin' you. if no sparks are flying while you guys are hangin' out, then he's not the one.

Look and see if he acts like that to everyone. If so it is harder to tell. If not, be a little more flirty with him. If he is interested he will make moves of his own. If he starts to back off even the slightest, do the same.
