what do you think about Airdale dogs -?
she is 11 months old and we are going to obedience classes. Very good in class - stubborn at home! Also VERY active. Typical?

Absoulutely postively typical of any Airedale! My parents have had a few Airedales over the past 35 years. The shoes with holes are way too numerous to count.
When I was growing up, it was not hard to learn to keep anything I valued off of the floor and keep my closet door closed! Otherwise, anything was fair game to them!
Though they are a handful to raise, once grown, they settle into everything you would ever want Man's best friend to be.
I cannot think of any breed of dog I would rather have.

Think of it this way; she is younger than a year, and "air" is in her breed's name! Of course she will be hyper! My 10 1/2 month Golden is the same way; good in class, bad at home!

Yeah, typical. They are stubborn. Also, they are VERY hyper... or that's what I've seen with the Airedales I've met. But then, you can't follow a stereotype. there are ALWAYS exceptions to the rule. What's your dog's name??
I know a male that is named "Winchester"... cool, huh?

Sorry, they are not the most intelligent breed. :(
