Who was Art Carney?

he gained lifelong fame for his portrayal of upstairs neighbor and sewer worker Ed Norton opposite Jackie Gleason's Ralph Kramden in the popular television comedy show The Honeymooners. Art Carney also had many screen and stage roles, including the portrayal on Broadway of Felix Unger in The Odd Couple (opposite Walter Matthau as Oscar). He was nominated for seven Emmy Awards.

Art Carney was an actor. He was best known for the role on Jackie Gleason's T.V. show called the "Honeymooners". He played a neighbor that worked for the city. His name was Norton. I don't think they ever used his first name on the show. Gleason's name was Ralph Krampton. They were both married and the entire show took place in Ralph's apartment in New York. Norton (Art Carney) was the stupid neighbor friend upstairs.

Art Carney was a very talented actor that played Ed Norton on the Honeymooners, Ralph Cramden's sidekick. Also he was in the movie with Gracie's husband , am drawing a blank right now on his name although I think it's George something. There were three older gentlemen that robbed a bank and got away with it. But 2 died before the end and it was very sad. Either way he will always be remembered as the one that taught Ralph to say a "string of po-lop-po nees" instead of a "string of POLOPONIES" lol.
