Does anyone know how and where here in the Denver,CO area to purchase pet rats? Please help. Thank you?

Try checking with a local college. They use rats in certain laboratory classes like psychology class. They train them to perform certain tasks for a food reward and things like that. After the semester is over, they have no use for the rats anymore, because they have already learned the behavior. They usually are euthanized. My daughter's professor asked if anyone wanted to take their rat home after the class was done. That's how we got our two rats!!

Check out Petfinder.org. Shelters list what they have and they have classified ads by people looking for a new home for thier pets. Thats where I got mine!

Go to your local pet shop they sell them there!

Go to http://www.goosemoose.com/ and post in the adoptions thread...You will get great laeds on where you can get a great pet.
