i forgot my admin password of my comp.can u help me?

i am using a win xp o.s.i changed my password by going to control panal>user account>change password.

but now i forgot the password.what can i do.is it possible to crack the password by removing the cmos battery or jumpper setting.or i should reinstall the o.s.

    removing the cmos battery and reinserting will solve the problem

    the only way is to remove the cmos battery. if the battery is removed from the system, the password is lost. you can then boot your system and it wont ask for a pwd

    boot with linux, get the SAM file , run through some password decrypting program and get the password back .. or boot with linux, take backup , format>re-install ...

    log in in safe mode as an administrator if it has no password, then change your password on your user name
