help me choose...... (the best)?

I'd have to say Norton, with McAfee coming in second. Although I know certain computer guru's who want it the other way around. McAfee over Norton.

Looking at current protection scores McAfee comes out slightly on top, ahead of Norton and then Trend Micro. Unfortunately I don't have any Zone Alarm figures...

However, If you want an honest opinion I wouldn't go with any of these. Norton and McAfee have great reputations, yet their products are failing and have been on a downward slope over the last 12-18 months - more and more malware is sailing straight through their defences. And if these 2 are currently out-scoring Trend Micro, I wouldn't go anywhere near that!!!

Personally I would consider at least trialing a lesser known product not on your list called Prevx1. This is an All-in-one solution that is continually proving to detect, protect and remove more malware (virii, spyware, adware, trojans, etc) than all leading security vendors combined.

The last answerer mentioned the fact that:

"I run a virus scan every week and in the past year I have NEVER run across a virus"

Norton...even though others will say zone alarm (only because you can get there firewall free)and not mcafee (contains spyware,had it got rid of it fast)

Norton Internet Security 2006 is your best bet.

macfee security suit is realy good and i have it here at home it is easy to use. zone alarm firewall is great to but the problem it asks about every thing that is running even when u try to move the mouse (good security but very advanced users) norton internet security is not that good but the antivirus is great am using norton antivirus and zone alarm firewall on my second computer.

mcAfree! its has everything. but if i wer u use bullguard even microsoft recomemnds it, its 2006 antivirus awardee.
