do presidents have to pass a background check before they can be elected?
i'm just wondering. everytime i fill out an application to do work for the federal government, even state depending on the job, i have to pass a background check. and they're pretty thorough, so a job as important as being president should do the same. right?

Background checks are performed on various aspiring candidates every four years, which is not to say it is a very effective background check and what determines the failure of a candidate's background check would appear to be quite arbitrary as evidenced by the moron who seemingly passed the last two background checks.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aMv0x
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

No, at least not one that could disqualify anybody. The Constitution allows anyone over 35 who was born in the USA to be elected. No one has the power to override the Constitution based on a purported background check.

NO. However the media checks the entire background and polital history of all Presidential candidares over many many months. Nothing can remain hidden so long.
Does anyone temember Senator Gary Hart? He had to drop out of race when he was a favorite.

It's called the public election process. Between the primary and the campaign trail, there are literally thousands of people exploring every little bit of their pasts and dredging it up.
Sadly, the populace sometimes comes to the wrong conclusions.

Yes, but if you are the son of a President, it's a difficult job and well, records get lost.
