What's the best brand or series of books for learning a foreign language?
I'm what my teachers called a "visual learner" and it's easiest for me to learn a foreign language phonetically, by learning to read and write it at the same time as speaking it. Are there any brands or series of books that focus on this method? How did you learn any foreign languages? What do you recommend?

I recommend starting with children's books and working your way up the levels. Pictures and simple vocabulary will definitely help a visual learner.
