Can someone please give me examples of emo bands?
Who the hell is considered emo anyway? I don't like those melodramatic, whiny emo kids who think they're ultra-unique. However, I have a feeling that some of the music I like is considered emo, so I just wanna know who's considered to be emo? That word has a bad association now what with all the posers.

hawthorne heights, dashboard confessional...all those bands that whine about slitting their wrists or the woes of being an angst-ridden teenager/young adult.

i feel ya, i hate whiny guys that look like dolls. whiny girls are fine, they're just girls with a depressed look. wonder what has made them so emotional. its evolution i tell you!! I'm sure the music sucks so i wouldn't know what bands participate in it.

Thursday, Hawthorne Heights, stuff like that...Sometimes they cross between rock, and other times get into punk.
