Napoleon had asked in his will to be buried on the banks of the Seine, but was buried on Saint Helena. In 1840, his remains were taken to France in the frigate Belle-Poule and entombed in Les Invalides, Paris. Hundreds of millions have visited his tomb since that date.

Napoleon was an atheist, like many of the Revolutionary Party. Since he did not have any religious problems with Islam, he tried to promote it, to some extent, to make the French occupation of parts of Egypt less troublesome. If the Egyptians saw that some of their French occupiers were praying to Allah at the mosques, there might be less insurrection to deal with. His atheism and political use of Islam is why many feel he was one of the 'anti-Christs' that Nostradamus wrote about.
