In your own opinion, Why do you think Chris Daughtry got voted off American Idol? For dedicated watchers only!

Chris got voted off because his fans did not vote for him

WHY you will have to ask them I guess they all thought he would be safe...but not the case the show is not fixed ...

I miss him & was shocked like everyone else when he got the boot gone but not forgotten

There is no doubt his fans voted. However, the other contestants got more votes. It may seem unfair that your favorite singer didn't make it to the top, but it just could be possible that the others are more popular.

My thoughts about Chris: he sings Rock music very well, but that is not the target demographic of American Idol. Idol is more of a Pop forum, and the best-selling artist to come from Idol is a pop singer.

Think about how well the past winners' genre correlates to their album sales. Both Ruben and Fantasia released albums that appeal to hip-hop or gospel tastes, which isn't as mainstream. Even Carrie's country music isn't as approachable as Kelly's pop hits. That's why the runners-up often get album deals; Clay, Bo, etc have a different market than the winner, and don't affect their sales.

So, I don't think Chris had a chance at the top spot, but it's probably for the best. He'll get a deal because he's talented and received wide exposure on AI. I suspect we'll hear more from him than the #2 spot this season.

Chris' elimination came out a shock and he's eliminated coz his fans probably didn't vote for him. For many weeks, there's been speculation that he could actually win this season. This result in his fans being over-confident and hence, they diddn't vote for him. These are the consequences of over-speculation in the news and over the internet. I think if people didn't create all these buzz over the news and internet, Chris would probably still be in the competition (his fans would not have been too confident that he'll win then)

I was so sad when Chris got voted off. He performed well and a lot of people expected him to be in the Final 2. Anyway, I'm sure he will get a recording contract soon. And I'm sure gonna buy his debut album. Chris rocks!! AI isn't as good without him. sighs.

I think there was something wrong with the show last week when Chris got voted off! There was just to many shocked looks on the faces of everyone! Everyone except maybe Ryan Seacrest! Think maybe he knows something we don't!?!?!?

It got me sooooo mad he was great that week I hate kathrine for staying but at least she does'nt have an offer to the band fuel..
