It has been documented that Armstrong did not wear his Speedmaster on his walk on the moon. An instrument had malfunctioned during the LEM's Decent and his Speedmaster was left in the LEM to serve as a replacement.

Time to measure at what place. If only one person is there in the moon does he need time.If so what he is going to achive.one astronaut may need time to measure some events happening that may be measured using digital clocks.
The wrist watch made at earth should work well at moon. The thig is that spring loaded wrist watches may show time faster due to a less gravity.
