Why do people not use correct grammar when asking their questions??

It seems like at least 50% of the questions I have read have absolutely horrible grammar. It seems like people would actually read their questions back and correct them before posting them. Just a thought from someone who cares.

Update:

I do understand about the translation. I don't mind the abbreviations or even some of the mis-spelled words. It is just a big pet peeve of mine when someone says something like "is you" instead of "are you". I really do not mean to judge people, it is just an observation more than anything.

The site is used by people all over the globe. Many of them are not native English-speakers. But most of the others are kids and teens who really don't care about communicating correctly. They also have probably never been taught to write correctly. And they seem to enjoy using their own net-speak, which gives them a sense of community and identity that separates them from adults. And then there are those who are in a hurry to ask or answer questions. And finally, there are those who are too stupid, ignorant, or lazy to use correct spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation -- all the things that are required to communicate in writing.

A lot of people do not have proper grammar structure as it was not a strong subject for them. Also, a lot of peole using this Q&A forum are not English native speaking persons and may find the translating to be very difficult. So, it is up to us to repsect that all may not have the abilities you are blessed with when it comes to grammar. A little forgiveness for thier errors can go a long ways - if you get the gist of their question, then answer, if you don't, there's plenty of other questions!

You know, I asked almost the exact same question and everyone jumped all over me! I completely agree! Do they not see the box that says "Check Spelling?" It's really not that hard to type a few extra letters!

I totally agree with you here. I think people are just too lazy or uneducated to write well, but at the same time they don't understand that it makes them come off as being stupid and it's harder to respond to their question.
