How to fix Microsoft Blue Screen of Death?
My OLD computer has the dreaded MS Blue screen of death, I would not be concerned, except that there, are many documents on the old 'puter I need to retrieve.
I have not found a website that has EASY baby steps to fix the Blue Screen problem.
Any EASY 1-2-3 steps anywhere online? I can't wrap my brain around the online "fixes" I found.
Thanks.

Sometimes depending on how far it will boot and what version of windows it is. You can hit the F8 key as it is first starting up and get into safe mode. From there you can get into "My Computer" and right click on the "c" select the tools tab and do a defrag and schedule a disk check - check both boxes in disk check - one says "check for errors" the other one say "attempt to repair" This will fix it about 60% of the time!!! Good Luck!!!!

The Blue Screen of Death comes with an error that looks something like this 0x0000001E something something something
that would usually tell you what kernel error it is and what driver is causing the problem
as for an 1-2-3 easy step i don't really know there is one, depending what the error is, there could be a diff solutions. Sometimes u can restarlt your computer and ur back up and runing.
I say u search the problem, find out what it is and what is causing it then go about looking how u can solve the problem

If you get it, turn it off by pressing your button. It will open up to a "windows had a problem shutting down" or something, then select safe mode or press F8 and go on safe mode. When you are on there go onto system restore and restore it. It should work

Hey Man,
your system is an OLD system.u say so. then u must b running win 98. BSoD is a common occurence in 98 pal.ur system shows dat bcoz ur physical memory dump must be less.
try increasing the dump by:
Right-click--->My Computer--->Properties--->jus think virtual properties i am not soo sure of that.u jus browse thru the tabs and look out for "virtual memory". there try to increase ur dump
also reduce the number of programs installed in your computer.
ifu r loading junks n junks of warez in ur PC, it will not balabnce the programs as a result of which u may xpect d BSoD.
Jus in case u r bored of the same old BSoD,
try the following link to change d colour of that:
Download it today! Go to www.toastytech.com and scroll down to "Change the color of the BSoD". Click there and download it.
Special thanks to Larry Bash's Site of billgates jokes
