Xerox is a process that scans the original and creates an image with toner on plain paper. It's a brand name, but other makes of copier use the Xerox process.

Photocopying was a system that used photographic paper to make a copy of the original. The paper was developed in the machine using chemicals. This system has died out because the Xerox process is much cleaner.

photocopy is a generic term. "xerox" is the company that made it famous.

just like a "tissue" is a generic term, but everyone calls it a Kleenex.

xerox is brand name of a particular photo-copier.

They are the same thing. It's like saying Kleenex instead of tissue or Coke instead of soda.
