Why doesn't plankton just ask squidward for the crabby patty secret formula.?

if plankton asks squidward, and squidward would tell him, it would be the end of the show. ;)

If someone who was unwitting walked right into this conversation, and heard you talking about sea creatures, well, they'd think you were crazy. But I think that subconsciously, Plankton wants to find the secret recipe by being so maliciously evil that he doesn't want to just ask.
